Texas Native Cole Martin gets Selected in USHL Futures Draft by the Lincoln Stars

Cole Martin who's a native of Arlington, Texas was selected in the 4th Round of the USHL Futures Draft (50th overall) by the Lincoln Stars that took place this morning. He's currently been playing for Team Illinois in the Tier 1 Midget Minor League which is part of some of the best Youth Hockey Leagues in the country.
The defensemen tends to be a stay-at-home defensemen who had 16 points in 38 games played last season for a team that finished 3rd in their division with a 19-12-7 record in the Chicago Division of the Tier 1 U16 League. He's not afraid to take penalties as he uses his physical presence to good use weighing in at 6'0" 165 with 36 penalty minutes throughout the season. His only goal of the season came in a 3-3 tie against the PF Changs Team back in December.

RoughRiders take Alex Roos in USHL Futures Draft

Center Alex Roos of Team Illinois was selected by the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in Tuesday’s USHL Futures Draft. The Futures Draft consists of players with a 1994 birth date. The RoughRiders had the 15th and final pick of the first round, then the first pick of the second round.
