Team Illinois has 5 Players Selected in the USHL Draft
Team Illinois once again had the most players selected in the USHL draft of all the AAA organizations in Illinois. The selection process took place Wednesday, May 13, 2008.

Five players were chosen from the '07-'08 Team Illinois Midget Major team that finished 2nd at the National Championships held in Buffalo, New York in April. These players are Forward Cody Murphy, Defenseman Frankie Simonelli, and Goaltender Troy Grosenick all to the Cedar Rapids Roughriders, Defenseman Conor Allen to the Sioux Falls Stampede, and Defenseman Ben Hughes to the Tri-City Storm.

Please welcome LARRY PEDRIE
TI welcome Larry Pedrie to the organization. Larry Pedrie will join Team Illinois this spring. Larry will be the lead director for our 94 spring program as well as co-director of the 98/99 spring program with Sean Berens. As we move into the 2008-2009 season we are very excited to have a person and coach of Larry's caliber here at Team Illinois. Larry is one of the best and very best coaches in all of youth hockey. His experience and expertise in youth hockey will be a tremendous value to all of the Team Illinois players he interacts with next season and into the future. Larry will be instrumental in the development of our players and he will play a crucial role in the future of Team Illinois. BIO8

Please welcome TIG U14 NEW Assistant Coach - Jackie Holmes
TI is happy to announce that our new Assistant Coach at the 14U level will be Jackie Holmes.
Jackie played in the Team Illinois' Girls' Program from the time she was 12U-16U, and went to one USA Hockey National Tournament with TI. She transferred to Culver while in high school, and played three years of varsity hockey at Culver (2002-05). Jackie was recruited for the Division I program at Maine, where she played one year (2005-06) and then suffered an injury. She transferred back to Illinois where she has played for Robert Morris since her return. Jackie and her team won the ACHA Women's Club College Nationals with Robert Morris (2007), and placed second in the ACHA Nationals in 2008. We are happy to have such an enthusiastic and knowledgeable coach coming on board with our 14U team.
