Sam Povorozniouk

Sam started his hockey career right here at TI. He was born and raised in Northbrook, IL. At age 15 he played in the USHL for the Chicago Steel. Afterwards, Sam would go on to get drafted in the OHL. After successful junior seasons he would advance to the professional level getting invited to the St. Louis Blues camp. From there Sam played in the ECHL, SM-LIIGA, DEL, and Metal Ligaen. Throughout his career, Sam had the opportunity to represent his country in international competitions. Following his professional career, Sam transitioned into coaching utilizing his knowledge and experience to guide young athletes. He joins TI after coaching in the USHL for the Tri-City Storm and Windy City Storm.
Randy Wolf

Randy Wolf grew up playing youth hockey in Illinois before ultimately going to play NCAA Division III hockey at Bethel University. Randy Found his passion for player development while coaching part time on weeknights and summers during his college career. After graduating, Randy decided to go into coaching hockey full time where he has worked with thousands of players of all ages and levels, including working as the Skating and Skills Coach for the Chicago Wolves during the 2023-24 season.
Randy started his team coaching with the Chicago Mission in 2021-22. During the next 5 years, Randy held a variety of roles including Head Coach, Player Development Coach, Video Coach, and Assistant Coach. Over 5 seasons as head and assistant coach, Randy was a member of 1 National Championship, 1 Central District Championship, 5 State Championships, 2 State Runner-Up.
Sean Berens
Style Big Hockey
The Style Big Club's development philosophy focuses on proper muscle memory and correction for each individual member. Our Multi Platform Training Model (MPTM) provides a step by step breakdown of how to practice and perfect each skill. Studies show it takes 10,000 hours of correct repetitions to become elite at a task. Hockey players are no exception - in fact they require more detailed instruction due to the sport specific body function (skating vs. walking) needed to master a skill. When you attend a Style Big Club training event you change how you train!!!
Joe Corvo
Skills Instructor & Defensive Specialist
Joe Corvo is a former NHL defenseman with the Los Angeles Kings, Ottawa Senators, Carolina Hurricanes, Washington Capitals, and Boston Bruins. A fourth-round draft pick of the Kings in 1997, Corvo starred at Western Michigan University before beginning a 12-year NHL career, earning a reputation as a skilled offensive defenseman and elite puck mover.
After the 2013-2014 season, Corvo announced his retirement from professional hockey. Over his NHL career, he played in a total of 708 regular-season games, scoring 89 goals and 211 assists for 300 points.
Following his retirement, Corvo transitioned into coaching and player development, working with several top youth hockey organizations, including the Chicago Blues, Chicago Bruins, Chicago Bulldogs, Chicago Young Americans, and Windy City Storm, where he has helped develop the next generation of elite players.
Tom Boudreau
Skills Instructor
In addition to leading the Lake Forest Academy Prep hockey program, Boudreau is recognized as one of the top skills-development coaches in the Chicagoland area. He trains and develops amateur, collegiate, and professional hockey players through small group training, as well as run hockey camps and power skating/skills clinics though Boudreau Hockey. His clientele ranges from youth Tier 1 and Tier 2 amateurs, all the way through USHL, Canadian Junior, NCAA Division I and III collegiate players, and professional players currently playing in Europe, minor leagues and the NHL.Boudreau played in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) for the Robert Morris University Eagles. He was a three-time team captain and earned honors as Rookie of the Year, ACHA All-American honorable mention, as well as Academic All-American. He was inducted into the school’s athletic hall of fame in 2010. Boudreau had a seven-year professional hockey career, including two years in Sweden's Hockey Allsvenskan and Hockeyettan leagues and five years in various North American minor leagues (ECHL, CHL, SPHL, EPHL). Throughout his professional career he played with, and was coached by, many players and coaches with ties to the NHL.After finishing his professional hockey career, Boudreau started giving back to the game by coaching with many organizations, serving as head coach for youth and high school programs in the Chicagoland area. During this time, he also served as Director of Impact Elite Hockey Camps, Director of Player Development for the Chicago Young Americans AAA, as well as Central States Hockey Director for the Highland Park Falcons Hockey Association. All the while, he has continued to build his reputation by training some of the most successful youth, collegiate, and pro players through his own company, Boudreau Hockey LLC.
Stu Gould
Good as Gould
Stu and his staff are handling the development of the goaltenders for the program. He has served as a goaltending coach for over 35 years all over the Midwest and his alumni include many professional, junior, and collegiate goalies. Stu owns and operates the Gould Goalie School which has served goalies of all ages in and around the Chicagoland area. Stu grew up in Evanston, Illinois and played collegiately for NCAA Division I University of Illinois-Chicago and NCAA Division III Oswego State. He also played several years professionally in numerous hockey markets around the country. He brings a wealth of experience to the Team Illinois organization and is determined to develop young goaltenders into great athletes as well as well-rounded young adults.
Jack Hickey

Prior to Jack's coaching career he grew up playing for Team Illinois and serves as a proud alumnus who spent five full seasons at Team Illinois. Jack was on some of the top teams to come through the TI program. After youth hockey Jack moved on to spend time in various Jr hockey leagues, USHL, USPHL Premier, and NOJHL. After his playing career and before coming back to Team Illinois to coach, Jack served as a goalie director for the Chicago Bruins as well as assisting other teams in that club. Jack currently has seven years of goalie coaching experience with GDI, USA and working many other camps, clinics in addition to other exterior needs for goalies. Jack is now a current member of USA hockey's goalie nation to ensure US born goalies are getting the development they need to make more US born goalies enter the NHL.
Sanya Sandahl

Sanya played NCAA D1 Collegiate Hockey at Cornell University followed by an 11 year professional playing career between Switzerland (2 yrs) and the Minnesota Whitecaps (9 yrs). Sanya began her coaching career in Minnesota coaching High School Girls Hockey for 8 years prior to moving to the Chicago area. Sanya then became a member of the CYA coaching staff for 8 years at the 16U and 19U levels coaching girl goalies, and spent her 9th season as the 19U head Coach and WCS Goalie Director with the program.
On the collegiate side, Sanya coached at St. Cloud State University (NCAA D1) for 2 seasons, Augsburg University (NCAA D3) in Minneapolis, MN for 12 seasons as well as Aurora University (NCAA D3) for 1 season. On the international stage, Sanya had the distinct honor of coaching with Team USA at the 2023 and 2024 U18 Women's World Championships earning a Bronze and Gold medal respectively as the Goalie Coach.
Sanya currently serves as the USA Hockey Central District Goalie Development Coordinator as well as the Women's Director for Goaltender Development Institute (GDI USA) the past 8 years, and is an active coach for Augsburg University (NCAA D3) in Minneapolis, MN for the past 12 seasons.
Hayley Kliczko
Goalie Coach
Hayley Kliczko is a former Division I goaltender at Brown University, where she served as an alternate captain during her senior season. A strong leader on and off the ice, she brought a competitive mindset and high level of discipline throughout her collegiate career.
Since graduating in 2022, Hayley has continued her passion for developing goaltenders as part of the GDI USA coaching staff, where she leads girls’ goalie development for the Glenview Stars. She is dedicated to helping young athletes build confidence, refine their technical skills, and elevate their performance in net.
A Chicagoland native, Hayley grew up in Niles, Illinois, and played the majority of her youth hockey career with the Chicago Young Americans (CYA).
