Brooklyn Ramaglia Commits to Concordia University Wisconsin!

Team Illinois is thrilled to announce that forward Brooklyn Ramaglia has committed to play NCAA Division III college hockey at Concordia University Wisconsin.  The Falcons are coached by Steve Fabilli, Ellie Tabaka and Eric Everson.   The Ozaukee Ice Center is home to the Concordia Falcons.

Concordia University Wisconsin competes in NCHA with other teams such as St. Norbert and Trine.

Brooklyn was attracted to Concordia University because of the campus and the hockey team.  “When I went to visit, I liked how it was on the smaller side.  I also loved the view of the lake and the surrounding area.  I like how the women’s hockey team is competitive with a “team first” mentality,” stated Brooklyn.    Brooklyn joins TI Alum Olivia Kurtz who is a sophomore this year at Concordia.

“I would like to thank my family, coaches and teammates who have helped and supported me over the years.  I thank my family for dedicating their time and money into taking me to countless hours of practice and traveling almost every weekend.  I would like to thank my coaches Ponce, Ben, Pat and Rob who have helped me improve my skills and improve my confidence on the ice.  I appreciate them for being patient with me when I was seriously injured last season.  These four coaches made the last two seasons incredibly fun and very memorable.  And to my teammates, I thank you all for the endless laughs, hard work and dedication.  Lastly I would also like to thank the Pedrie Family for welcoming me into Team Illinois and always supporting me.”

Brooklyn is in her sixth season here at Team Illinois.  She joined the TI Family in her 14U year and has been with us ever since.   “Brooklyn is a strong and resilient player that has overcome so much adversity in her playing career that the fact that she is now going on to play hockey at the collegiate level shows the perseverance she has not only as a player but a person as well.  I cannot wait to see what she accomplishes as she gets ready to start this new chapter,” said Coach Ponce.

“To say that we are proud of Brooklyn would be an understatement.  Brooklyn has proven to be beyond resilient in her time with Team Illinois and has done nothing but push forward and improve each season.  She is more than deserving of the opportunity to play college hockey and Concordia will benefit from everything that Brooklyn brings to the table. Brooklyn has terrific speed, has a fantastic compete level, and is a heart and soul  player that any coach would be excited to have on their team.  Team Illinois has been fortunate to have Brooklyn wear our jersey for the past 6 seasons and we wish her the best of luck in her college career,” said Larry Pedrie, Team Illinois Girls Hockey Director.

Congratulations Brooklyn!
