Lauren Siebert Commits to Miami University!
Team Illinois is thrilled to announce that defenseman, Lauren Siebert, has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey at Miami University. The Redhawks are coached by Eddie Ingersoll and Bailee Brekke. Goggin Ice Arena is home to both the men’s and women’s team and is located in beautiful Oxford Ohio.
Lauren was immediately attracted to Miami University because of the campus as well as the strong academics. “Right when I stepped on campus, I knew that I could truly see myself there. Miami is a mid-sized school with a welcoming community not too far from home.”
Lauren plans on studying Kinesiology/Pre-Physical Therapy.
“I would like to thank the entire coaching staff who has pushed me to become a better player every single day. Without them and their support I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’d also like to thank my family and teammates for their support and encouragement. They have challenged and inspired me to be my best.”
Lauren is in her fourth season here at Team Illinois. She joined the TI Family in her second 14U year and has been with us ever since. “Lauren is a steady solid stay at home defenseman who brings a consistent effort to every game and plays extremely hard. She is extremely effective at moving the puck up the ice keeping it simple and smart. She is a wonderful teammate and a pleasure to coach,’ said Larry Pedrie, Girls Hockey Director.
Lauren will truly be missed in the hallways and on the ice. We are sad to see her go but cannot wait to watch her career moving forward.Congratulations Lauren and GO REDHAWKS
