19U Alexa Morrow to NCHA Division III St. Norbert College

Team Illinois is thrilled to announce that forward Alexa Morrow has committed to play NCHA Division III Hockey at St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin starting with the 2020-2021 season. The Green Knights are coached by AJ Aitken.   They play out of Cornerstone Ice Arena.

Alexa was comfortable right away at St. Norbert’s and knew it was the right fit for her. “I’ve had my eye on this school for quite awhile and already have a few friends attending there. The coaching staff is awesome and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. It already feels like home”

“Alexa is the kind of player that any coach would want on their team. She is an extremely hard-working forward who is consistent on both sides of the puck,” noted Tom Boyles, Team Illinois 19U Head Coach.  “She is also a terrific teammate, known especially for her encouraging attitude.

This is Alexa’s second year here at Team Illinois.   She is thankful for her parents, family and teammates for their support. “She says, “I am extremely grateful for my time at Team Illinois.  I’ve met some of my best friends in the program.”  She adds, “My dad has always been one of my coaches since I started playing hockey and because of that he is my best friend.  I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.  I also want to thank all of my current and past coaches for pushing me to be the best version of myself.’

Alexa plans to major in business.
